I love fashion, video games and Lara Croft.

In case you didn’t already know that this is what the whole game is about.

Hello! I’ve been talking with classictombraider about the Tomb Raider Chronicles BETA and I’ll show the things that Core removed/changed it in the final release.
#0: Menu (enlarge the image to see better)
In BETA, the menu has New Game and Special Features. Different as final, the Special Features only appears if you collect all secrets or using cheat.
In BETA (Only Console works), if you put the memory card and wait, a kind of “debug” appears and you can choose the cutscene you want to watch. | image |
In Special Features, BETA has “Movie Trailer”, but does not work. Maybe it was the trailer from the Tomb Raider Movie.
In Storyboards, BETA and also in final version of Playstation the name Yves is not censored. Different from PC version, his name is censored
When it shows Lara’s Home, Yves appears, different from the final, Charles appears.
In BETA Menu, it just have ONE music, and only plays in the Cemetery. When goes to Lara’s Home, Church and Egipt, it just plays a annoying noise.
Well, that’s for today! Soon i’ll make the Streets of Rome differences.
If you want to see more, just tag the Tomb Raider Chronicles and my posts will be there.
See ya!

Tomb A Day #36 - Tomb Raider II, Level 10: The Deck
It’s hard to pick a favorite Maria Doria level because I love them all so much, but The Deck is a strong contender. This level oozes atmosphere and the concept of an ocean liner jammed into a cavern at the bottom of the sea pushes all of my “Cool!” buttons.  Walking to the edge of the deck and seeing the stern tipped over in the cavern was one of my favorite moments in this level. I like that Tomb Raider occasionally uses its distance fog (a technique for hiding short draw distance in games) as a shroud for impressive reveals of landmarks and giant rooms. See also: Colosseum. Some small details I like: the ornate benches scattered about the deck, the algae-covered guardrails, and the rusty propellers.

Tomb A Day #34 - Tomb Raider II, Level 8: Wreck of the Maria Doria
The ship’s bridge features one of my favorite camera angles in the series, pictured in the middle gif. The beautiful exterior shot is what inspired me to start this project. It was also the very first gif I made for Tumblr.I think the path to this level’s exit is cool. One of the ballrooms near the end has a shattered glass ceiling that grants access to an underwater cave. The Maria Doria split like the Titanic when it sank and the cave leads to the hull of other half.Speaking of the Titanic, there’s a beta version of Tomb Raider 2 where an incomplete version of this level is actually titled “Titanic.” It makes me wish that there was more information about early drafts of the story.
